If you answered yes then you’re in the minority, at least amongst American adults. YouGov conducted a poll from April 12 to 13th amongst American adults and gauged which animals they thought they could defeat in a fight. Most all respondents thought they could take out a rat, a housecat, and a goose, but when it comes to other animals confidence waned. Americans viewed Gorillas, Elephants, Lions, and Grizzly Bears as the most ferocious, with less than 10% of respondents believing they could defeat the animals.
There was a large disparity in confidence between men and women, shown in the chart below.
